Riding and Hiking Trails
The new sustainable community will be nestled into the natural landscape of a valley of the Tantalus Mountains with the Cheakamus river running along the western boarder. The equestrian center will be constructed in the middle of the site with the trail system radiating out. The system will consist of about 8 kilometers of new riding and hiking trails. Walking and riding paths will also incorporate the Cheakamus River-historic trails which leads to the gold fields. The whole system will be linked to the municipal trail system. All land for the trails as well as the construction will be donated by the development for the public's enjoyment in perpetuity. The project will also be creating and dedicating substantial parkland and wildlife corridors for public use all at no cost to taxpayers.
It will also include:
- Revitalizing and dedicating the historic Cheakamus River Trail for public use
- Creating new bridle and hiking trails for public use
- Creating and dedicating parkland/wildlife corridor for public use with no cost to taxpayers
