The District stated that it was seeking a legal opinion on whether or not it can reverse the decision of the previous Council at 3rd reading, and take Paradise Trails back to a public hearing; the reasons for this have not been clear, nor is it clear whether this action is legally permitted. The District also told Councilors that the law did not allow them to speak with us after 3rd reading; we know of no such law. Then, the District stated that it was ready to start drafting the Land Development Agreement, and that it was also ready to move ahead with 4th reading. Then, it stated again that it was thinking about sending the project back to a public hearing, for a different set of reasons. The back and forth messaging has been confusing, to say the least. In this letter, we are requesting clarity from the District.
